Happy first birthday, Addie Grace!

I am amazed that one year has already passed us by. You have such an amazing addition to this family. Just some of the basic facts about you right now are:

-at your one year doctor visit: 23 lbs 11 oz, 30 inches long
- you wear a size 3 diaper
-you wear a size 3 shoe
-you wear 18 month clothing in most everything
-you meet Santa for the first time
-you meet your cousins Alatia and Olivia over Thanksgiving and had so much fun playing with them
-you celebrated your first Thanksgiving at 57th Fighter Group
-you SLEEP so well, two fabulous naps a day and sleep all night!!! Sometimes you will wake up at 6:30 am and we can give you a little TLC or milk and back to sleep you go (sometimes until 9:00 am- AWESOME)
-Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy is your disposition.
- you are crawling and exploring the world around you
-you will stand and hang on to a toy if we help you up

Ten

Ten months that is... Addie Grace is 10 months old! We are all amazed that she has been here for so much time or so little time in the world's time...but we cannot imagine life without here. She truly completes this family. The boys love her, she loves them and it just seems like we are so complete with her in this family!

These just a few things we can think of about you! You wear a size three diaper. You are still nursing. -4 to 6 times a day! You are taking two long naps and two cat naps a day. You love to play with everyone: mom and dad brothers, friends at football, and Family! You are wearing 12 or 18 month clothing. Your feet are so tiny. We found out that you wear a two!!! That is the size a three to six month baby would wear! Too cute!! I found you in your crib trying to sit up in your own the other day. It won't be long! Time to start baby proofing the house.

Amazed

Do you ever go through a day without something truly amazing you? I don't! Most days it's my kids and something they say or do- I am truly in awe of the things they know, how they deal with life's craziness and just how they survive in this world!! Like right now, Addie Grace is asleep in the backseat which we are at carpool! Just to think when she opens her eyes, her two MOST favorite people will be here! The love affair between them AMAZES me! I love how they love each other! It is a deep love that says no matter what you are my family and I will love you, support you, defend you, protect you, treasure you until the end of the earth!

I love constantly being amazed in life, it reminds me of how blessed I am and how I am truly in the most wonderful place! Also, fall is just about here and it amazes me each and every year how the world around uses changes! I am in awe of this world the Lord created for us to live in! Fall brings all the leaves changing, fall festivals, campouts, fires, cool mornings followed by beautiful days! Did I mentioned fall football? War Eagle and go GWA Dawgs is what you hear around my house!

Back to OUR REALITY!!!!!! TOTAL CRAZINESS!

Back to school, back to football, back to church, back to chaos!

The craziness has arrived. The boys went back to school in August and they have been playing football for the past month or so atleast 3-4 times a week! It has been so hot here- record setting hot!

Summertime!

WOW! It is already July and Addie Grace is 7 months old! Boy have we been busy around here. Let me start with just the daily activites and then we will get to her specifics!!
Each and every day- a must- BOYS SWIM!!! Now we can add Buddy (the lab) to the list of boy swimmers in the house! He loves the pool! If the gate is left open, he dives in for an afternoon swim. The boys are like fish! They can swim the length of the pool while holding their breathe, dive from every angle, do flips and just play and have a great time! They actually think that the swimming pool is a good reason to avoid the shower- not my idea of a bath!
The boys are playing FOOTBALL!!! They practice three times a week for 1.5 hours to 2 hours! Since they have taken on this crazy practice schedule we have put karate on the back burnner for a little while! They are really enjoying learning the ends and outs of football and they are really happy to see their friends. Of course, many pictures to follow!!!!
We have been running around like crazy this month trying to work in all the "fun" things they want to do before school starts. We took a day trip to Coca-Cola Factory in Atlanta, a day trip to Chattanooga, Bailey went and saw Phantom of the Opera, we have seen every kids movie that has come out this summer- (I like those- they are air conditioned), seen the laser show, played outside, played inside....just busy, busy, busy! I think the boys have had a great summer! We have even managed to work a little school stuff into the scheulde- summer reading, multiplication facts, and site words!






You might ask, "What has Addie Grace been up to while the boys have been so busy?"
Well, she is right there with them! She is so in love with her brothers! If they are not laughing and rolling around together- she has them by the hair kissing them on the mouth!!! It is precious to watch the three of them! We weighed her last Sunday
(7/25/10) and she weighed 20 lbs. 9.5 oz- PRECIOUS! It takes a lot of work to keep up that adorable figure!

*LOVE BUG- you are constantly kissing on us all day long

*Sleeping: 2 awesome naps a day, 2-3 cat naps and PRAISE THE LORD- you are sleeping through the night or atleast 8-9 hours straight!!!!
*Nursing- you nurse about 5-6 times a day and you don't mind a quick visit in the middle of the night if you get hungary!
*You went to Grammy and Grandaddy's and took a nap over there- you slept in my baby bed that I had as a little girl (40 years old)
*You like to swim in the pool and you really like to play in your baby pool
*Favorite toy- probably something you can teeth on or the snail toy that rolls while you play with it.
*Favorite snuggy- your paci!!! You love having a paci in your hand and in your mouth (just like Bailey) but you like to have a stuffed animal beside you or under your arm- not showing any favoritism towards any one as of yet!!!!

It has been one crazy, fun summer and I am so blessed that this is my life! I could not ask for more!

5th day of the 5th Month and I am 5 months old!

Today, (OK, actually yesterday) Addie Grace turned 5 months old! This last month has been a fun month exploring new things with her. You have started eating 3 meals of baby food a day! First reaction, not so favorable, but you have grown to love eating the fruits! Still trying to choke down the veggies! For breakfast, we mix oatmeal into either bannana, pear or applesauce baby food! For lunch, we serve a fruit and a veggie- you usually finish the fruit and about 1/2 of the veggie. Then for dinner, we serve the rest of the veggie and another fruit!!! You are still nursing and loving it! CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! You are taking a regular monring nap, a nap on the way to carpool, a great late afternoon nap and a cat nap in the evenings! We have seen two nights of sleeping through the night (no feedings) this week! I see the light at the end of the tunnel! You are so amazing and sweet that we would and will get up as often as needed :) You have started to play with toys- you love to put them all in your mouth! BUT the latest and greatest discovery for you is your toes!!! You love them!!!!! Teething has begun....you are constantly gnawing on anything you can get your hands on! That even includes all fingers that come near your mouth! You really love to chew on Sully!!You have the best little giggle! When you tickled- you will laugh from the tip of your toes to deep in your belly! Your face lights up with excitement and those hands start shaking!!! It is precious!!!

ever done something stupid- we did!

For those of you who know me well, know that I LOVE DOGS!!!!!!!!! I really love them! Sometimes prefer them over people- but that is another story! This last week I was looking on the internet as I do from time to time to see the new lab puppies that are available in this world. Just another typical afternoon in the carpool line with my iphone! I find this cute, adorable yellow lab and email the picture to Todd. Ok, I am thinking that he will think "o, that is cute."- the end, right? WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Todd calls me and says,"Do you want him?" Keep in mind we already have two at home, a black, 5 year old female; a brown, 2 year old female and the decision on whether to add an 11 month old male to the mix! Of course the answer is NO, right? WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As we are driving down the road, Todd is texting the owner and they are making arrangements to get him on the flight that night from California to Georgia!! Needless to say - we are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But of course, he will be loved and adored at our house! He is going to take some getting used to and he is full of energy! But he is sweet! So HERE'S BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Easter, Spring Break and Look who is 4 months old!!!

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a wonderful Easter this year celebrating our Savoir's ressurection! We attended Grace Fellowship with Mema and Aunt Brittany! Then we all gathered together for lunch at Summit Chase Country Club. Following lunch, we all headed back to the house for an Easter egg hunt, pinata and egg games! Addie Grace enjoyed her first Easter and visit from the Eater bunny. She received her first tea set! Too Cute! The boys' had a blast with the egg hunt and games. Thanks to Grammy and Grandaddy, each of them received about $10 hiding in the eggs.










On Monday, we headed to Seaside, FL, for SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A whole week off from our crazy schedule!!! What a blessing!!!! The weather was amazing and the boys had a blast. They played in the pool and all day long at the beach! Of course, the moment we got back to the house, the boys were ready for a bike ride! They rode all over town. We would take walks, eat by the beach, and visit the quaint little town. It was a much needed vacation! Everyone had a ball! Of course, we did get a little too much sun! But what would a beach vacation be without everyone peeling!



Ms. Addie Grace has turned 4 months old! She is still such a blessing to the whole family and more loved than any little girl I know! She is trying her best to roll over. We will still be working on that one! We have started cereal, bananas, and peaches! You are not to sure about the food, but we will keep working on it! On the 12th of April, we went to see Dr. Mahon for your well visit! You weighed 16 lbs 10 oz and you are 26 3/4 inches long! You are in the 95%! Doing great! Bailey's favorite thing to do with Addie Grace is to make her smile! Every time she sees him, you should see the huge smile on her face! She adores him! He can get this best belly laugh from her! It is so cute to watch them together!!! Sully called her "Gracie" the other day and it was too cute! I hope he might call her this as his special name for her! She loves to grab his fingers and put them in her mouth! She is teeting and thinks that her brothers are her chew toys! Hope she doesn't hurt them too bad when the teeth come in! You are still nursing about 6-8 times a day! Not quite sleeping through the night- hoping this comes soon!!!! You are taking 2-3 big naps a day and squeezing in some sleeping when we are out and about in the car! You are wearing 9 month clothing!!! yikes- time to re-buy the summer wardrobe! You have discovered toys that you love and you like to take them with you. You love your vibrating dog, bunny and butterfly! We have introduced you to the exersaucer! You weren't too sure of that one, but we will keep trying! You have now been to te beach twice (Seaside, FL) and you have had your first dip in the pool! Looking good in that swimsuit, litte one!!! Looking forward to seeing what four months brings you!!!!

Addie Grace is 3 months old

WOW! Addie Grace the time is flying by! It seems like only yesterday we were at the hospital meeting you for the very first time. You are still such a wonderful baby! Full of smiles, laughter, and just plain happiness! You bring so much joy to everyone around you! This month you have really enjoyed your brothers! You hold their fingers and your face lights up when they come around! It is so wonderful to watch all three of you- in love! There will always be a special bond between you and those two guys! they will protect you, your whole life! We weighed you on the 14th of March and you weighed 15 lbs 10 oz! Growing like a weed!!! Love it! This month you celebrated Bailey's 8th Birthday!!!! You have been to Snow Mountain, The pinewood derby races for cub scouts,church, pictures with Wendy, the boy's tennis practice, karate, soccer, the dentist, had a snow storm....what an exciting month!!!! Smile, Baby, Smile!!!!

2 months old, already! WOW! I know that they say time goes by fast, but it seems to be moving faster than ever. You are such an anel! Always smiling. I love that whenever anyone talks to you, you give them a big gummie smile! I remember a time when we took your brothers to school this month and as they were getting out of the car, they said "Bye Addie" and you cut them the most beautiful smile. You made it so hard for them to get out of the car, they wanted to stay with you! Perfect, sweet, wonderful, fun, happy, laughing, smiling, giggiling, hat wearing, pink everywhere, bright light in our family- that is what you are!

some of the things you are doing at two months:
*still nursing!!!! You eat about 6-8 times a day
*still willing to sleep in the car, at dinner, in the pack in play, at karate, anywhere we take you
*you take about 1 great long nap a day at home- due to our crazy schedule and the rest of the time in the carseat
*you have been to the ice skating rink
*during your brothers' winter break at school we (the family) went to Seaside, FL. It was a blast!
*I wore you in the snuggie and rode a bike with you on the front of me for a few hours... of course, you slept right through it!
*at your two month dr. visit you weighed 14.05 lbs and you were 26.5 inches long. Both of these are above the 95%! You are doing great!
*occasionally, you get to sleep in your crib! Only if we are around.
*you have started sleeping on your tummy! You seem to love it and be getting more restful sleep- you grew so long that you were falling off of your positioner!
*You get a bath about every 3 nights and you are starting to like them - we even get a few smiles during bathtime!
*You paci is important to you now- you really enjoy having it
*you play on your playmat to have stretch time and playtime. Whenever your brothers see you on it, they come play with you
*your brothers just finished soccer and are still taking karate...always busy, busy busy!
*your first Valentine's day!!! You got your first silver bangel bracelet!!! TOO CUTE!
*on Feb. 16- you celebrated Sully's 5th birthday!!!
We love you so much and each day with you is a blessing!!!!

One month old, already? Where does the time go?

I cannot believe that I am typing about your first month already! If time continues to go this fast, I am going to have to document every move so that we don't miss anything. You have brought us such joy in this first month of life! The family seems complete now that you are here! Your brothers are so in love with you! Everytime they see you they have to touch and kiss on you. Your dad, oh your dad, he is in love with his little girl! It is the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time. I love watching him, watch you! The tenderness and love he has towards you makes me love him even more! You were truly the miracle that we have always dreamed of and the perfect Christmas present. Thank you for making our family a better family!

Addie Grace's First Month:
* you are our first girl
* you are nursing- the only one of my children to nurse
* you LOVE to nurse and eat (during the day eating every 3-4 hrs)
* you weigh 11 lbs 11 oz (on the home scale)
* you have grown longer (we forgot to measure)
* you sleep great- 3 to 5 naps a day, sleep 4-6 hrs at night
* when you cry, everyone comes running- no one wants you to want for anything
* we took you to the Christmas Eve service at Grace along with 8000 people- you were only two weeks old!!
* you survived the first round of the stomach flu around our house
* we had to take you back to peditrician to have silver nitrate put into your belly button to stop the bleeding
* you wear size 3-6 month clothing and you are starting to wear some of your 6 month outfits
* I love getting you dressed each morning, because each and every day if a fashion show around here
* the boys are back at school as of Jan 4 and we are playing at home, just us GIRLS!
* you have taken 2 naps in your crib- you are sleeping in our room in the pack and play at night
* you love your swing and have taken many naps in it
* you aren't so sure about the bouncy seat
* your favorite place to sleep is in someone's arms :) (Spoiled rotten)
